No account. No card. Just the app.

YapScribe runs on Apple Silicon Macs — M1 and newer — on macOS 14 Sonoma or later. There is no Intel build, because the speech model runs on the Neural Engine and Intel Macs do not have one.

No build published yet

Early access opens soon.

The first build is being notarised. Nothing is downloadable until Apple has signed off on it, and we would rather show you this than a button that does not work.

macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon
Will cost
Nothing to download. Seven days to try it.

The permissions it asks for

YapScribe needs the microphone to hear you, Accessibility to type into the field you had open, and Screen Recording to read what is on your screen — macOS calls a single screenshot that, even though nothing is recorded and the image never leaves your Mac. What each permission is used for.

Seven days, then you decide

Everything is switched on during the trial. It starts when you sign in inside the app, which is what ties it to you rather than to one machine — so a new Mac does not start the clock again, and a reinstall does not end it early.
